HKEC Visit to San Antonio: 

Supporting Korean Schools 

and Expanding Teacher Training. 

The Director of the Houston Korean Education Center (HKEC) 

recently visited San Antonio to strengthen 

Korean language education initiatives in the region. 

During the visit, the director met with the principal 

and vice principal of the San Antonio Korean School, 

expressing sincere appreciation for their ongoing 

commitment to fostering the cultural identity 

of Korean-American students and encouraging 

their continued efforts.

In addition, the director met with university professors 

who are actively engaged in Korean language education. 

The meeting focused on discussing 

the potential establishment of a Korean language 

teacher training program, aiming to further 

expand and support Korean language instruction 

in the United States.

This visit highlights HKEC’s continued commitment 

to promoting Korean language education and 

supporting educators who play a vital role 

in nurturing future generations.
